On the morning of your balloon flight we’ll meet you just before sunrise at the 5 star Palm Meadows Golf Resort, Gooding Drive, Carrara, having been provided with directions by the Ruffles Lodge team. Ballooning everywhere takes place in the gentle winds we get just after dawn, so we meet you just before sunrise so that we can be in the air just after it. We then have a short journey to our launch site, where you have a welcoming tea/coffee and biscuits and assist the crew set up the balloon for launch.
Your spectacular flight lasts for 1 hour as we float with the breezes at 2,000 to 3,000 feet above the Gold Coast and Hinterland - the views are amazing. After landing and balloon pack-up we have a welcome bottle of cool water and head back to Palm Meadows Lakeview Restaurant for a lovely champagne breakfast. We sit outside under the umbrellas overlooking the lake and the golf course. It's a lovely setting and the perfect place to sit back and savour your balloon flight experience. During breakfast we have a short ceremony when we explain the history of hot air ballooning and why it is we have champagne after each balloon flight and everyone is presented with their personalised flight certificate.
Approximately 4.5 hours after the start you’ll be on your way back to Ruffles Lodge with some wonderful memories of a very special morning.
